The Business Development Manager is a high-level sales professional who is adept at setting and executing senior leadership strategy and tactics in order to help the business grow. The greatest priority for this role is to acquire new customers and sell additional products or services to existing ones. Must possess the necessary skills and dedication to expand and diversify the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and researching new leads and potential new markets
  • Researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes decisions about purchasing; Connecting with decision-makers, establishing robust relationships, partnering to find solutions to business challenges
  • Informs clients about new developments and offerings with products
  • Develops quotes and proposals; manages the negotiation process
  • Pitching products and/or services
  • Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers
  • Collaborating with key organizational departments to enhance services and ensure centers of expertise can be leveraged appropriately to support business expansion and additional services
  • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
  • Developing sales goals for the team and ensuring they are met
  • Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills

  • BA Degree in Business a plus
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Experience in sales, marketing or a related field are preferred
